Girls Football and Wildcats Centre
FA Wildcats Centre:
Byron Red Star Football Club are delighted to announce that we have made a successful application to become an FA Wildcats centre.

Our Wildcats centre has been designed to inspire girls aged between 5-11 to be involved in the sport and particularly Football
We aim to provide girls with regular opportunities to play football and take part in organised sessions in a fun and engaging environment created exclusively for girls.
They will provide a safe environment where girls with no football experience can; have fun engaging with sport, develop fundamental skills, try a variety of sessions, learn new things and create foundations for a lifelong love of sport.
The sessions are currently held on a Friday evening at Frances Bardsley school from 18:00 to 19:00 and takes place on the all-weather pitch. The girls can wear anything that they find comfortable and would need to wear shin pads and astro turf boots or trainers.

Girls Teams:

With our established FA Wildcats centre we are in the process of creating one or more Byron Girls teams to hopefully follow on from the success that our Boys teams have achieved.
​
We currently have nine girls teams in an official leagues (Essex County Girls League and the Brentwood Community Football Alliance League) and we are keen to speak to any parents who are interested in volunteering to take control of a team* or girls who are interested in challenging themselves further in a competitive environment.

*The club will provide assistance with Mentoring, resources and FA accredited training
